Observability and security monitoring

Metrics, logs and alerts in one place (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch), threat detection (Wazuh), business hours or 24/7 with our partners.

Outages are discovered through user complaints, and signs of intrusion stay scattered across logs nobody reads.

NEXTBIT sets up unified monitoring that brings metrics, logs and alerts together. Prometheus collects the metrics, OpenSearch centralises the logs and Grafana presents the dashboards. Wazuh adds threat detection: file integrity checks, security log analysis and vulnerability detection. Alert thresholds are tuned with your teams to avoid noise. Monitoring is provided during business hours, or 24/7 with our partners, and a monthly report sums up incidents, trends and recommended actions.

What we do

  • Metrics collection from servers, networks, databases and applications with Prometheus
  • Log centralisation and retention in OpenSearch
  • Grafana dashboards tailored to technical teams and to management
  • Threat detection with Wazuh: file integrity, vulnerabilities, suspicious behaviour
  • Alert rules, response procedures and a monthly report

Our approach

  1. 01

    Assessment

Inventory of systems to monitor, available logs and past incidents; choice of priority indicators.

  2. 02

    Design

Collection architecture, log retention period, alert rules and escalation path.

  3. 03

    Pilot

Rollout on a limited scope and threshold tuning to limit false alerts.

  4. 04

    Rollout and operations

Extension to the whole estate, continuous monitoring, monthly report and training for your teams.

What you gain

  • Incidents detected before users report them
  • A single view of infrastructure and threats
  • Useful alerts, tuned to your context
  • Open tools, with no licences to renew

Frequently asked questions

Why open source tools rather than a commercial product?

Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch and Wazuh are widely used, well documented and maintained by active communities. They cover monitoring and detection needs with no licence cost and no dependence on a single vendor, and they run on your infrastructure, so your logs stay with you.

Who responds when an alert fires?

The response path is defined at design stage. During business hours, our engineers qualify the alert and start the agreed procedure with your teams. For 24/7 monitoring, our partners handle the first response under the same procedures, with escalation to NEXTBIT and to your managers.

Where is monitoring data stored?

On your infrastructure or with a hosting provider in Algeria, as you choose. Logs may contain personal data, so their retention period and access rights are defined with you, in line with law 18-07 on the protection of personal data.
