Sovereign private cloud

A self-service private platform (virtual machines, containers, object storage), or hybrid with local hosting providers.

Your teams wait for servers, while foreign public clouds raise questions of sovereignty, foreign-currency costs and dependence.

NEXTBIT designs and deploys a private cloud that gives your teams self-service virtual machines, containers and object storage, on your infrastructure or with a local hosting provider. We build on open components such as OpenStack, Proxmox VE and MinIO, with quotas, access rights and usage tracking. Your data stays hosted and processed in Algeria. The platform is documented, monitored and handed over to your team, trained to run it.

What we do

  • Needs study: workloads, volumes, user teams and hosting constraints
  • Deployment of OpenStack or Proxmox VE depending on size and usage
  • S3-compatible object storage with MinIO and block storage with Ceph
  • Self-service portal with quotas, access rights and usage tracking
  • Hybrid option with a local hosting provider for disaster recovery

Our approach

  1. 01

    Assessment

Inventory of workloads, volumes and usage; study of on-premises and local hosting options.

  2. 02

    Design and pilot

Target architecture, service model and success criteria; pilot with a first user team.

  3. 03

    Wave-based migration

Progressive opening to teams and transfer of existing workloads, with a rollback plan for each wave.

  4. 04

    Operations and handover

Monitoring, updates, documentation and training of the team that will run the platform.

What you gain

  • Self-service resources for your teams
  • Data hosted in Algeria, under your control
  • Predictable costs, with no foreign-currency billing
  • Open standards, with no provider lock-in

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from plain virtualisation?

Virtualisation provides machines; a private cloud adds self-service, quotas, per-team rights, object storage and automation. Your teams get their resources without waiting for manual intervention, within a framework set by your IT department.

Do we need to buy new hardware?

Not necessarily. The assessment evaluates what can be reused and what is missing. NEXTBIT does not resell hardware: our recommendations are based solely on your needs, and you buy from the supplier of your choice.

Can we combine our infrastructure with a local hosting provider?

Yes. A hybrid architecture lets you, for example, keep sensitive data on site and use a local provider for disaster recovery or peak loads. Both environments rely on the same open standards and are managed the same way.
